***You made it past the main part of the post...now read on for the really juicy details!***

It's easy to look through the gorgeous NEW 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue and instantly create a long wish list. You might like the selections that Stampin' Up! has pictured above in the starter kit but you can choose other stamp sets, paper, ink pads, ribbon, etc to customize your starter kit to best meet your wishes! You get to choose 2 stamp sets (1-$30.95 or less & 1-26.95 or less), 4 ink pads, 1 pkg of DSP, 1 pkg of assorted cardstock, 1 roll of ribbon ($10.50 or less) and the adhesive of your choice!

Apprehensive? I was, too when I first considered a starter kit...until I found out the following: Stampin' Up! would love you to sell their product but they know that many crafters aren't interested in a business they just love to craft! Purchasing a starter kit technically makes you a demonstrator but you can use that 20% discount just to feed your own crafting habit. You never have to sell anything to anyone...it's called being a hobby demonstrator. You get a GREAT discount and all of the same access to insider information that other demonstrators get but you never have to sell a thing!

Lastly...$205+ dollars worth of goodies (with no shipping costs on starter kits) for only $119 is awesome enough but if you won't be needing your case of catalogues or business forms, I'll buy those from you for $35 (bringing your starter kit price down to just $84+tax.) Also, if you've been itching to try My Digital Studio, you can also add it to your starter kit for just $60 (value: $99.95).

Learning the Lay of the Land

My Mom used to use this phrase periodically when I was growing up.  I'm not sure if the "youngin's" of today's generation would even know what this means (figuring out how a new place is laid out) but I'm assuming most of the potential readers of my blog will know what I mean!  Today, I'd like to help you learn the lay of the land in My Digital Studio.

I don't know about you but if I can avoid it...I don't like to read instructions.  I prefer to "learn as I go" or have someone give me a quick tour or tutorial of whatever I'm about to learn and once I've seen things in action then I'm off to the races!

So...today I'm posting a link to a video from Holly Linford at the Stampin' Up! home office.  There are 3 videos on the web page...pick the one in the bottom left corner with no title.  I'll warn you...it's 9 minutes long however...that 9 minutes of your time, patience and attention will mean that if when you pick up a copy of My Digital Studio, you'll be able to dive right into having fun because you'll know how use the software already!  Woo hoo!

One...two...three.............GO!

Take care...
