Close To My Heart...

I am head over heels in love with everything related to Spice Cake DSP from the Holiday Mini catalogue (available until January 3rd).  This includes the Spice Cake paper, fabric, buttons, the Gently Falling stamp set, etc, etc...  I'll be so sad to see it go when the Holiday Mini catalogue sales period ends.

Anyone who knows me closely, knows that throughout my adult life I've experienced an exceptional amount of tragedy and loss.  I have always chosen to make "what doesn't kill me makes me stronger" my mantra.  In times of crisis, you'll catch me muttering this under my breath as a little pep talk to myself.

So...long story short, the sentiment on this lovely card (cased from Jodi-Danielle Kutz & Ann Schach) is near and dear to my heart.  (Click the photo to see a larger image)

I've Got Some Catching Up To Do!!

Whew!  The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind and I'm afraid I have completely failed in creating any MDS projects or doing any blogging.  There is a LOT to be excited about though in the Stampin' Up! world!  The new Holiday Mini Catalogue went live on September 1st and I don't know how anyone could browse through it without drooling!  A new Simply Scored scoring tool, a new punch with coordinating stamps, a new die for making advent calendars with a coordinating stamp set, new ribbons, new Designer Series Paper (check out Spice Cake on page 17!) and SO MUCH MORE!!!

An Exciting Sneak Peak & Realization At The Same Time!

First, let me apologize for being MIA the past few days. I was a busy little bee this past weekend doing house work and yard work in preparation for an upcoming vacation in a few days, then Sunday night and all day Monday I was stricken with a brutal migraine.
